家庭经济支柱王德胜上个月因心脏病离世，遗孀林秀美和3名孩子失去经济来源，生活负担令她担忧，无计之下，唯有对外求助。

他们一家是来自大山脚。王德胜（55岁）在病逝前是建筑业散工，今年年头，他工作时不慎从屋檐跌下，伤及要害，在家休养，期间全靠妻子林秀美细心照料，不料，上个月王德胜因心脏病离世，留下林秀美及3名年幼的孩子。

3名孩子分别是15岁女儿、14岁儿子及10岁儿子。林秀美是名家庭主妇，平时在家做家庭工补贴家庭开销，丈夫出事后，由于需要照料丈夫，她只好停下家庭工。

王德胜没有社会保险及没有购买保险，他病逝后，经济陷入困境，3名孩子的补习班陆续被逼暂停。目前林秀美在亲戚帮忙下，向福利部申请援助。此外， 七里香也提供爱心教室国语免费补习班给10岁孩子参与。

七里香接获求助派员前往家访，经过了解和审核后，本会议决拨出1000令吉孩子教育援助金给林秀美，以减轻其孩子的教育负担。

Description:

The 55-years-old sole breadwinner of his family, sadly passed away from heart disease last month, leaving his widow LIM SIEW BEE and their three children without a source of income. The sudden burden has caused her great concern, and with no other options, she is now seeking public assistance.

The family is from Bukit Mertajam. ONG TEIK SHENG(55 years old), worked as a contract laborer in the construction industry. Earlier this year, he fell from a rooftop while working and suffered serious injuries. Since then, he had been resting at home under the dedicated care of his wife, Lim Siew Mei. Unfortunately, he passed away last month due to heart disease, leaving behind Lim and their three young children.

Their children are a 15-year-old daughter, a 14-year-old son, and a 10-year-old son. Lim Siew Mei, a homemaker, used to take on small home-based jobs to support the household expenses. However, after her husband’s accident, she had to stop working to care for him.

ONG TEIK SHENG did not have social security or insurance coverage. After his passing, the family’s financial situation became dire, forcing them to halt their children’s tuition classes. Currently, Lim Siew Mei is applying for assistance from the welfare department with the help of relatives. In addition, Qilixiang Charity Foundation has stepped in to provide free Malay tuition classes for their 10-year-old child through its Loving Classroom program.

The Qi Li Xiang Charity has decided to allocate RM1000 as education assistance fund to reduce the education burden of her children.
