55岁單身妇女叶月芹2年前患上淋巴癌，经历了3次手术及6次化疗，目前病情稳定。患病后无法工作，加上需要照顾天生患有肌肉萎缩的妹妹，经济状况陷困，对外求助。

叶月芹来自北海。她2023年腹部感到不适，医生诊断她患有急性盲肠炎，于是为她进行手术。不料手术后依然感到疼痛，经过一系列检查后，医生发现她患有淋巴癌，随后再进行手术，之后也完成6次化疗。

她拥有14名兄弟姐妹，而她与41岁患有肌肉萎缩的妹妹相依为命，早前她在一间家私厂工作，月薪1500令吉。她患癌后再也无法工作，经济方面陷困。其妹妹每月获福利部300令吉援助金。

七里香接获求助派员前往家访，经过了解和审核后，本会议决拨出1000令吉医药援助金给叶月芹，以减轻其医药负担。

Description:

55-year-old single woman YEAP KUEK KIN was diagnosed with lymphoma two years ago. She has undergone three surgeries and six sessions of chemotherapy, and her condition is currently stable. Unable to work after falling ill and needing to care for her sister who suffers from muscular atrophy, she is now in financial difficulty and has sought public assistance.

She is from Butterworth. In 2023, she began experiencing abdominal pain. Doctors initially diagnosed her with acute appendicitis and performed surgery. However, the pain persisted after the operation. Further examinations revealed that she had lymphoma, prompting additional surgery and six rounds of chemotherapy.

She has 14 siblings but lives only with her 41-year-old sister who has muscular atrophy. Previously, she worked at a furniture factory earning RM1,500 per month. Since her cancer diagnosis, she has been unable to work, and her financial situation has worsened. Her sister receives RM300 in monthly welfare assistance from the Social Welfare Department.

The Qi Li Xiang Charity has decided to allocate RM1000 as medical assistance fund to reduce the burden of patient.
