47岁单亲妈妈莊妙音于今年4月不幸患上关节炎，病情导致她行动不便，无法继续工作，收入顿时中断。面对高昂的医药费，她已无力购买所需药物，而年仅14岁的儿子仍需她照顾与抚养，沉重的生活与经济压力让她倍感无助。

莊妙音来自北海，她今年4月膝盖感觉疼痛，于是前往医院检查，报告显示她患上关节炎，医生提供止痛药给她服用。至今病情无改善。

她早前从事小贩行业，日赚30令吉。其儿子尚在中学就读，母子俩目前租房，租金每月124令吉，同时每月获福利部200令吉援助金。

七里香接获求助派员前往家访，经过了解和审核后，本会议决拨出500令吉医药援助金给莊妙音，以减轻其医药负担。

Description:

47-years-old single mother was unfortunately diagnosed with arthritis in April this year. The condition has severely affected her mobility, leaving her unable to continue working and causing her only source of income to come to an abrupt halt. Faced with mounting medical expenses, she can no longer afford the medication she needs. At the same time, she remains responsible for caring for and supporting her 14-year-old son, placing her under immense financial and emotional strain.

CHONG MIAU YIN , who is from Butterworth, began experiencing severe knee pain in April and sought treatment at a hospital. Following medical examinations, she was diagnosed with arthritis and was prescribed pain medication. However, despite ongoing treatment, her condition has shown no improvement.

Prior to falling ill, Chong worked as a hawker, earning approximately RM30 a day. Her son is currently studying in secondary school. The mother and son are renting a house with a monthly rental of RM124 and currently receive RM200 per month in welfare assistance from the Social Welfare Department.

The Qi Li Xiang Charity has decided to allocate RM500 as medical assistance fund to reduce the burden of patient.
