寄居收留中心逾40年，残障女子病逝，七里香众人施棺组送她最后一程。
从小寄居在残障儿童收留中心的谢秀君日前病逝，七里香众人施棺组在接获求助后，第一时间伸出援手，为她处理身后事，愿她一路走好，早日安息。
往生者谢秀君（CHEAH SAU KUEN）单身，得年49岁。据了解，她自幼为残疾人士，7岁时被家人送往残障儿童收留中心后便与家属失联，从此在中心生活成长，前后长达40多年。
多年来，她一直由中心照料起居。日前她突然晕倒，中心负责人紧急将她送往医院抢救，惟最终回天乏术，医生证实死因是器官功能衰竭。
中心通过慈善管道向七里香慈善基金会求助。本会接获投报后，马上展开协助，全程负责领尸、设灵、出殡及火化等相关事宜，让她得以走完人生最后一程。
七里香慈善基金会将继续秉持初心，在社会有需要时给予及时援助，为弱势群体守住最后一道温暖。

✍️Coffin & Funeral assistance case No: 581
CHEAH SAU KUEN, who had lived in a home for children with disabilities since childhood, sadly passed away recently. Upon receiving a request for help, the Qi Li Xiang Charity’s coffin team promptly stepped in to handle her funeral arrangements.
The deceased CHEAH SAU KUEN (aged 49), was single and had been a person with disabilities since birth. It is understood that she was sent to the care center at the age of 7 and lost contact with her family thereafter, spending over 40 years of her life in the center.
She had been cared for by the center throughout the years. Recently, she suddenly collapsed, and the center’s staff rushed her to the hospital for emergency treatment. Unfortunately, she could not be saved. Doctors confirmed that her cause of death was organ failure.
The Qi Li Charity fully assisted with the entire process, including body collection, wake arrangements, funeral procession, and cremation, ensuring the deceased could rest in peace with dignity.
